A Lookback At The Tough Life Of Late Actor Liu Kai-Chi

Hongkong actor Liu Kai-Chi passed away last night (Mar 28) aged 66 after a brief battle with stomach cancer. The shocking news came less than a week reports of him being diagnosed with stomach cancer emerged.

Affectionately known as ‘Uncle Chi’, Kai-Chi was a well-respected actor and was famous for his “everyman” supporting roles.

He had starred in over 90 dramas and 70 movies in his four decades in showbiz, and was named Best Supporting Actor twice at the Hong Kong Film Awards. His first win was for satirical comedy Cageman in 1993, and the second for action thriller Beast Stalker in 2009.
