Liu Yifei Fanboy Manages To Score Her Autograph At NBA Game, Says He Almost Passed Out When He Met Her
It must feel amazing to be noticed by one’s idol.
A Chinese netizen named Tony, who is based in Dubai, recently caught the NBA pre-season match between the Boston Celtics and Denver Nuggets in Abu Dhabi. It was there where he had the opportunity to meet Chinese actress Liu Yifei, 37.
Judging from his posts, Tony is a huge fan of Yifei, and he went to the game with the main goal of meeting her.
During a break, Tony approached Yifei, who was seated courtside, to ask for her autograph. He was initially waved off by a lady, who appeared to be Yifei’s assistant.
However, the actress quickly caught on to the situation and she had a short exchange with her assistant. Tony was then called back by the assistant who asked for his pen and his photos of Yifei.
The entire exchange was caught on video, including the part where Tony struggled with unwrapping his newly-bought pen while Yifei's assistant waited, her patience clearly wearing thin. We heaved a sigh of relief for him when he finally managed to free it from its plastic wrapping.
Accompanying his video was a very, very flattering caption that read: “I was so excited. I still haven’t calmed down. Liu Yifei is just like a fairy that has descended on earth. She’s so nice and so beautiful that I almost passed out.”
Tony also couldn’t get over how his idol had “smiled at him”.
It seems like Tony got really lucky that day. He also managed to get the autographs of massively popular American YouTuber Mr Beast, and Mario Ho, the son of the late Macau casino tycoon, Stanley Ho.
“I just found out that some people were turned down when they asked for Yifei’s autographs. I’m really fortunate, and I want to share my joy,” added Tony.
Tony has since gone viral on Chinese social media sites for his lucky encounter with his idol, with many commenting how envious they are of him.
Don’t we all wish we had his luck (and budget) to meet our favourite stars?
