Liu Yifei’s Mirror Reflection In Photo Sparks Speculation Over Unedited “Thicker” Behind
Is this a rookie mistake by someone on her team?
Chinese actress Liu Yifei has long been celebrated for her beauty and elegance, but is now a target of what seems like a Photoshop oversight.
The 37-year-old star was recently photographed in a chic two-piece outfit paired with knee-high boots.
All looks good, right?
Apparently not.
Sharp-eyed netizens immediately pointed out that the mirror reflection of Yifei’s figure appeared noticeably wider, sparking speculation that someone had forgotten to Photoshop it to match the retouched photo.
Now, we think that the actress still looks stunningly beautiful, but her jealous haters quickly came for her behind… literally.
Some claimed that the actress has piled on the pounds, accusing her of relying on photo editing to maintain her image.
Wait, isn't it common practice for celebs to filter their pictures?
“Is it Big Dragon Woman now?” commented one (especially mean) troll, referencing Yifei's ethereal Little Dragon Girl role in The Return of the Condor Heroes.
However, Yifei's fans came out to defend her and said a hater had intentionally made her hips look bigger than they actually are.
“Which troll did this? Own up!” one fan demanded.
Another responded directly to the body shamers and wrote: “How many of you criticising her behind look half as good as her? Come on, show your unfiltered pictures!”
This isn’t the first time Yifei has been targeted for her looks.
In the 2024 drama The Tale of Rose, the actress donned a swimsuit which had netizens picking on her body, saying her thighs looked thicker than what they would expect from a female celebrity.
Earlier this year, a sales staff of Chinese fashion brand Le Fame was fired for calling actress "slightly chubby".
