Bodyguards At Event Were So Starstruck, They Could Not Take Their Eyes Off Liu Yifei

Chinese actress Liu Yifei, 37, who is known for her beauty, is often described by fans as having a fairy-like elegance.

So, it's no surprise that she causes a stir wherever she goes. 

Remember this bodyguard who went viral for looking completely mesmerised by Yifei at a Shiseido event in Sanya, China, last year?

Something similar happened at the recent Red Gala Spring Opening Ceremony in Hangzhou, except this time, Yifei drew even more attention — from an entire line of security personnel.

Videos making the rounds online showed that when the actress arrived in a long white coat, the security team, who had their arms linked to form a barricade against eager fans, turned their heads in unison to catch a glimpse of her.

At least 10 bodyguards were seen gazing in her direction as she made her entrance, all seemingly captivated by her appearance.

While the reaction from the security team was flattering, Yifei, who was later photographed in an elegant form-fitting lavender gown, was also the target of fat-shaming trolls.

Netizens commented that she appeared to have "put on weight", pointing out that her “body and arms looked chubbier” and that she no longer had a “V-line chin.” 

There were also remarks that she "looked so different" and some suggested that she “start managing her weight”.

This isn’t the first time Yifei has fallen victim to nasty body-shamers.

She was shamed after appearing in a swimsuit for a drama and most recently called "slightly chubby" by a fashion brand employee.
