Despite losing out on the award, Linda said on YouTube that she had a "wonderful experience" at the awards .
"Sometimes life doesn't work out the way you want it to and it's ok," she said. "I trust in every experience to enrich me. I gained so much and learned so much about myself. I am so blessed to have so many people around the world supporting me and loving me in ways I cannot imagine."
Reading the acceptance speech that she had prepared backstage, she thanked her husband, chiropractor Jeremy Leung, for his “sacrifice” and for taking care of their two kids during her absence.
"It’s because of his encouragement that I was able to make this drama. I am very grateful for his sacrifice [as] it is really not easy for one [person] to take care of two kids. To me, he is one of a kind. And my kids… they enable me to grow and make me a better person. In my heart, I have already won the biggest prize because I have two precious children," she said.
Linda also thanked her parents and mother-in-law for their support and for helping out when she was away filming for five months, veteran actor Damien Lau for always sharing his positive views on life, as well as the cast and crew of Kids’ Lives Matter.
When Linda was shooting Kids’, she revealed that it could be her “last drama” as she couldn’t bear to be away from her kids, Kelly, four, and Jared, two.
But never say never. “I might decide to work on another series 10 years later,” she said then.
