Linda Chung Let Her 2-Year-Old Daughter Watch Her Give Birth: “Am I Kind Of Weird?"
Home births are relatively common in some parts of the world. But having your child watch you give birth?
Former TVB actress Linda Chung opened up about her home-birth experiences in Vancouver on a recent episode of Blue Friend, Travel Friend.
The 42-year-old has three children — Kelly, 10, Jared, eight, and Anika, three. While Kelly was born in a hospital, Jared and Anika were born naturally at home.
On the show, Linda, who married Chinese-Canadian chiropractor Jeremy Leung in 2015, revealed that she actually caught her son herself when he was born.
“Because I was at home, right? So I just caught him,” she said, almost nonchalantly.
But perhaps the most surprising part was that she allowed her eldest daughter, who was only two years old at the time, to witness the birth.
“My daughter actually watched me give birth to my son. Am I kind of weird?” Linda asked calmly.
“I thought it was very natural. I felt that watching her little brother being born was an experience of life. Life is life. It was bloody, but it’s beautiful.”
Still, you'd be curious to know how her daughter felt about witnessing a home birth, no?
