Lin Ching Hsia’s $190mil Mansion Revealed

There are houses and then there are houses.

Lin Ching Hsia’s $190mil Mansion Revealed

Former screen goddess Lin Ching Hsia, 63, is many things to many people. For our parents, she’s the Taiwanese beauty who ruled the silver screen in the ’70s. For us, she’s the androgynous Invincible East who terrorised us in those Tsui Hark wuxia movies in the ’90s. But for millennials, Lin Ching Hsia, who retired from showbiz shortly after marrying Hongkong tycoon and philanthropist Michael Ying in 1994, might just be the lady with that super expensive house.
Back in 2014 for their 20th wedding anniversary, her hubby had built her a 3,600sqm (that’s about the size of 35 four-room HDB flats) mansion at the foot of Hongkong’s Kowloon Peak. According to some sources, it reportedly cost a whopping NT$4.2 billion (S$190mil). For years. the public could only admire the property from the outside, but recently, the architectural firm responsible for the project had uploaded photos of the former stars not-so-humble abode onto their website. Safe to say, the interior, as you can tell from the pics, is fit for a goddess.
