“I Can’t Do It”: Lin Chiling, 48, When Asked If She Is Going To Have A Second Child

Enough with the baby questions already.

“I Can’t Do It”: Lin Chiling, 48, When Asked If She Is Going To Have A Second Child

Taiwanese star Lin Chiling, 48, and her Japanese husband Akira, 41, welcomed their first child in January last year

Since the birth of her son, whom she affectionately calls “Little Baobei”, Chiling has taken a step back from the spotlight to focus on her family.

Late last year, the actress-model attended a press event as spokesperson for a health product, and teared up while speaking about the challenges of being an older mum. She talked about the mental health struggles she faced, and also expressed her gratitude towards her supportive husband.

She was also asked about the idea of having a second child, and has it on record that she “doesn’t think it is possible” for her to go through another pregnancy.

Which makes us wonder why she was, again, asked the same question at a recent event.

Chiling and Akira

When asked if she and Akira would try for another baby, Chiling answered: “I can’t do it. Sorry but I really can’t do it.”

She also added that Little Baobei is “God’s greatest gift” to her and Akira, saying: “[We’re] very content with one [child], I will use the rest of my life to take care of my family, and give all my love to my child.”

She shared that her son is growing fast, and it seems as though her baby “immediately jumped into being a toddler”.

“He is already as tall as a four-year-old, and although he is more clingy towards me, he loves going out to play with his dad,” she continued.

When asked about how she plans to spend the upcoming Mother’s Day with her family, Chiling revealed that Akira’s mum plans to join them in Taiwan.

Though Chiling now lives in Japan with Akira, we can only assume that they are only back in Taiwan for Chiling’s work.

She  also spoke about her relationship with her mother-in-law, saying: “Since getting married, I’ve been very grateful to my mum-in-law for her support, be it my pregnancy or taking care of my child.”

She also said that she sees her mum-in-law as her own mother.
