Lin Chiling Says She And Husband Akira Have Not Fought In Their 3 Years Of Marriage Because Her Japanese Is Not Good Enough

Earlier this week, Taiwanese model Lin Chiling made her first public appearance in two years to promote her new book Be Your Better Self.

The 47-year-old star took a break from showbiz after marrying Japanese pop star Akira, 41, in 2019. She then moved to Japan.

At the book launch, host Mickey Huang, took the opportunity to ask Chiling about her married life. 

And the couple is still as sweet as ever. Not that we were expecting anything less.

According to the actress, she and her husband have never fought in their three years of marriage.

And their secret to staying argument-free?

"It could be because my Japanese isn't good enough, so many things need to be translated," joked Chiling. 

However, she did share that she and Akira made a pact that when either one of them is angry, they would write it down in a note and hand it to the other person.

When asked if she's someone who reads comments netizens write about her, Chiling said she's someone who has "never really looked at comments online."

"I feel that if I participate in the virtual world, I would forget how to interact with the people around me," she said, adding that she finds time very precious now and does not wish to care about people whom she'd never speak to in her life.
