Korean Actress Lee Young Ae, 53, Debunks Claims That She Only Eats Grapes For Dinner To Keep In Shape
The mum-of-two says it was something she said when she was a lot younger but now believes in a more wholesome approach.

Korean actress Lee Young Ae, best known for playing Seo Jang Geum in the classic 2003 K-drama Jewel In The Palace, is 53 this year, but continues to wow many with her youthful good looks and slim figure.
The star tied the knot with Korean-American businessman Jeong Ho Young in 2009, and welcomed a pair of fraternal twins, a boy and a girl, in 2011.
Young Ae recently appeared on Carol Cheng’s talk show, The Do Show, where she was asked about the secrets to her everlasting youthful appearance.
“It is rumoured that when you’re on a diet, you drink 10 glasses of water each day, and eat only grapes for dinner. Is it true?” quizzed Carol.
Young Ae smiled as she replied: “That’s not the case. I might have said that a long time ago when I was a lot younger, but that’s not the way. It’s important to eat good food, exercise, use good skincare products, and also manage one’s stress levels. That’s the most important thing.”
She also mentioned that her daughter, who is 13 this year, is a big fan of K-pop boy band Tomorrow X Together (TXT), and has shown interest in joining showbiz.
However, Young Ae believes that her daughter should prioritise her studies, before deciding if she really wants to be an artiste.
“If she’s [interested in showbiz] purely because of curiosity, it’s going to be really tough for her,” she said.
