Faye Wong’s Daughter Leah Dou Seen Holding Hands With Chinese Actress After Nearly A Year Of Dating Rumours
Is this Leah Dou's way of going public with the relationship?
Has Leah Dou finally found love?
The 28-year-old daughter of Cantopop diva Faye Wong was recently spotted holding hands with Chinese actress Cecilia Boey (aka Song Yanfei), during a late-night stroll with a dog in Beijing on Oct 30.
According to Chinese media, the two were seen later leaving a restaurant, where Leah reached for Cecilia’s hand, laughing as they walked away from the cameras.
The two previously starred in drama series The Way She Survives (2023), with Leah playing a boxer.
Speculation about their romance started almost a year ago when Leah posted a now-deleted photo of a crocheted doll, with the same design appearing in a selfie uploaded soon after.
They were even spotted in Singapore in 2024, even stopping to take pictures with fans.
Adding fuel to the fire, insiders claim that Faye has long known about the relationship and given her silent approval.
Leah is the daughter of Faye and Dou Wei, the lead singer of Chinese rock band Black Panther.
Netizens seem excited at the public display of affection, with one saying: “This isn’t just dating. They are going public!”
Cecilia, 30, trained under JYP Entertainment when she was 15, and was supposed to debut with Twice before a serious knee injury ended her K-pop dreams.
She later returned to China, starred in dramas like I’m Sorry It’s Not You (2017) and Crossfire (2020), and was previously linked to Chinese actor Song Yishan.
Leah, meanwhile, has always kept her personal life private, though she was rumoured to have dated Chinese director Queena Li in the past, with some speculating they were registered to be married.
Queena has since denied the rumours.
