Laurinda Ho, Daughter Of The Late Stanley Ho, Posts Touching Tribute To The Casino King On Father’s Day
“Let’s be father and daughter again in our next lives,” she wrote.
Father’s Day for Stanley Ho’s children was very different this year. The casino magnate passed away last month at the age of 98, and is survived by three wives and 15 children. His kids have chosen to commemorate their first Father’s Day without him in their own respective ways, but Laurinda Ho, who is the daughter of Stanley's third wife Ina Chan, has gone the extra mile to make the day even more memorable.
She held an ice cream drive on the streets, where she gave out free ice cream to passers-by as a tribute to her father’s love for doing charity. After the event ended, she posted photos of the event on her Instagram, along with photos of herself with her dad when she was a child.
Sharing the love
“Dad, I miss you especially so today. It’s Father’s Day, [but] it’s the first time we didn’t have a celebration cake, the first time that we didn’t [need to] cause a racket in your room trying to wake you up. It’s also the first time I didn’t have to think about what you didn’t have that we could give to you as a present.”
The 28-year-old continued, “I’ve been looking at old photos these days, because I wanted to find photos to use at the funeral. Out of 10 photos, eight or nine was of us fooling around, and you would always be looking at us with a smile on your face.”

“This was a rare photo of you [in the pool] without a swimming cap on, because we were still young then. We wouldn’t try to get your hair wet while you were swimming. Even then, you would never get angry with us, and you would appease mum whenever she got angry at us. My mischievous nature caused mum to get angry with me every day, and yet you would try to change the topic by saying that mischievous children would grow up to be intelligent.”

“Thank you for coddling me while I grew up. I’m no longer mischievous now, and I’ll also look after mummy on your behalf. Have a good time with your old friends in heaven. You always said that doing charity was the biggest joy, so this year’s Father’s Day gift is to share your love with everyone by giving out ice cream on the streets. I trust that you’ll be happy while looking at us from the heavens. Dad, you worked hard. Enjoy yourself up there and we’ll see each other in our next lives.”
She concluded the post with, “Let’s be father and daughter again in our next lives. In our next lives, please give me the chance to continue being filial to you. Dad, I love you.”
