Kwon Sang Woo’s Son, 17, Turning Heads After Sharing His First Social Media Post

When your parents are K-drama royalty like Kwon Sang Woo and Son Tae Young, good genes are practically part of the family inheritance.

Now the couple’s 17-year-old son, Kwon Ruk Hee, is getting attention of his own after reportedly starting a social media account and sharing a photo with his famous dad.

Naturally, if you’re launching yourself onto the internet, you might as well soft-launch it alongside your celebrity parent, right?

In the photo, Ruk Hee appears to have inherited Sang Woo’s signature sharp features, and it didn’t take long for the father-and-son snap to circulate online, with netizens immediately zooming in on the teen’s looks.

Ruk Hee has been living in New Jersey with Tae Young and his younger sister since 2019. Sang Woo, meanwhile, continues working in South Korea, travelling back and forth to spend time with his family.

In school, he is also a member of his school’s football team. Put everything you know about him, and you have basically got the blueprint for the popular school jock everyone wants to know.

And Tae Young apparently agrees.

On her YouTube channel, she previously shared that when she returned to Seoul with Ruk Hee, girls actually approached him while they were out walking together.

Considering the teen reportedly stands at 182cm and already has K-idol-level visuals, we would honestly be more surprised if people didn’t do a double-take.

For now, Ruk Hee is set to graduate high school in a few months, and according to Tae Young, he hopes to get into New York University (NYU) though it’s unclear which path he will ultimately choose.

NYU is globally renowned for its Tisch School of the Arts, and the Stern School of Business.

Is there a chance Ruk Hee might try his hand at the latter before diving into the K-dramas like his folks?

Of course, the internet already has its own career suggestions.

Some netizens commenting on the father-and-son photo think the teen should consider becoming a K-pop idol.

Another surmised that Ruk Hee's good looks also meant that Sang Woo and Tae Young's own features were naturally their own.

A particularly confident netizen even declared: “He’s even more handsome than his dad".

Of course, his dad is the Kwon Sang Woo after all.
