Korean Star Han So Hee, Who Said She Didn’t Know She Had To Shoot A Topless Sex Scene In Netflix Drama My Name, Now Says She Was Aware Of It

Yesterday (Oct 2), 9ato Entertainment issued a statement to "correct suspicions" that the sex scene was "decided on set without prior consent".

It clarified that So Hee was aware of the scene and that her remarks during interview had caused some misunderstanding.

According to the statement, the possibility of a sex scene to “show the emotional change of Yoon Ji Woo” was brought up during the pre-production stage.

However, as the script wasn’t completed at the time, it was agreed that they would decide whether to include it based on the character's emotional path after the filming starts.

“Later, it was discussed that the scene could show Ji Woo’s human side and explain Ji Woo’s emotional fluctuations in the events that followed, so it was ultimately carried out with consent from the actors and production team. The director and writers also had a lot of discussions about how to show the scene,” read the statement.

Her management also explained that when So Hee said she “only knew that there would be a sex scene during filming" in the interview, she actually meant that the "final decision to shoot the specific scene was made during the filming of the drama after a lot of discussion and consideration”.

“We know that there were many concerns and difficulties related to the scene for the production team and the actors, so we wanted to address the allegations directly. Please refrain from false speculation and creating misunderstandings related to this,” added the statement.

So Hee became a household name last year after starring in hit Korean drama The World of the Married, where she played a woman who comes in between a married couple.
