Kim Tae Hee Reportedly Made S$8.4mil From Selling Her Gangnam Building
The actress is said to be such a successful real estate investor, she started a property rental firm to manage the businesses that rent spaces from her.
Last October, power K-couple (kouple?) Rain and Kim Tae Hee became known as the richest Korean celeb real estate moguls after it was revealed that they reportedly own a combined 81.4bil won (S$98mil) worth of property.
Tae Hee, 41, is said to own so many buildings, she started a property rental firm to manage the businesses that rent spaces from her.
This week, the actress proved just how savvy of an investor she is with the sale of a building in Gangnam, Seoul.
According to reports, Tae Hee bought the building in June 2014 for 13.2bil won (S$15.6mil), and sold it in March 25 for 20.3bil won (S$24mil).

... Which is a cool 7.1bil won (S$8.4mil).

The building, which was completed in 2011, reportedly has nine floors — three basement levels and six above ground — and is a stone’s throw away from the bustling Gangnam station.
While news of how much money Tae Hee made has impressed many netizens, it may have caused some people to have a serious case of sour grapes.
A number of netizens have brought up the year-old news report that claimed Tae Hee evaded millions of dollars in real estate taxes by creating a paper company and exploiting a loophole in the law.
While Tae Hee has yet to address those allegations, netizens are more than happy to play judge and jury. “I wonder if she’ll use that money she made to buy another building. If she does, she better pay all her taxes like a law-abiding person,” wrote one netizen.
