Korean actor Kim Bum will make his return to the small screens more than a year after his appearance on historical drama Goddess of Fire.

His agency, King Kong Entertainment, confirmed that he has accepted the casting offer for upcoming crime drama Hidden Identity. His character, Cha Gun Woo, is described as a talented investigator of violent crimes.

Kim Bum made waves in 2009 for his role as So Yi Jung in the wildly popular drama Boys over Flowers. He also made headlines for his last drama project, Goddess of Fire, after it was announced that he was dating his co-star Moon Geun Young.

The two dated for six months and even went on a one-month vacation to Europe together after filming for Goddess of Fire wrapped. The actress’s agency later released a statement that the two had gone their separate ways and that they would maintain their relationship as colleagues.

Kim Bum has been busy with activities in China, including a cross-border movie titled Passion Love alongside Chinese actress Wang Li Kun and Taiwanese actor Joe Cheng.

Hidden Identity is slated for a June broadcast on tvN.
