Rafael's command of the language is already better than Kevin's, at least according to the actor.
Ever since Hongkong actor Kevin Cheng became a dad, our favourite posts on the 51-year-old’s social media pages are of him goofing around with his two boys, Rafael, who turns two in February, and three-month-old Yannick.
Yesterday, the proud papa posted two clips of Rafael counting from one to 10 in Mandarin, with the caption: “Your Mandarin is now better than daddy’s.”
Yes, Rafa isn’t even two and he can already speak Mandarin. And it’s not even his first or second language, which is English and Cantonese respectively.
In the first clip, the little tyke can be seen counting slowly in a soft voice. Then clearly pleased with himself, he cheered and excitedly gave himself a round of applause.
As if that couldn’t get cuter, Kevin shared another clip of Rafa counting, but this time with rabbit filter.
Netizens couldn’t get over how good Rafa’s pronunciation was and showered Kevin’s Weibo with compliments.
“Too beautiful and cute. [Your] Mandarin is definitely better than your dad’s,”cooed one fan, while another said: “[His] pronunciation is on point.” Yes, totally.
