Kevin Cheng Called “Irresponsible" After Neglecting To Ensure Son’s Mask Was Worn Properly

As Hongkong grapples with its fourth wave of COVID-19 infections, quite a number of celeb parents have amped up their prevention measures, like Hongkong actor Moses Chan, who was recently praised for his cautious ways, like keeping his mask on at all times during TVB’s Anniversary Gala, and fastidiously disinfecting all surfaces he came into contact with during a meal. Moses has three kids under the age of seven with his wife, 39-year-old actress Aimee Chan.
And now, another Hongkong celeb dad has come under public scrutiny for his COVID-19 prevention measures, or rather, lack thereof.
Rafael's quite the charmer
Media outlet Apple Daily recently spotted Hongkong actor Kevin Cheng and his older son, one-year-old Rafael at a shopping mall together.
At the mall, Kevin and Rafael made their way to a sporting goods store, where they were received super warmly by the retail assistants. And while Kevin chatted with the workers, Rafael was left to wander the shop on his own, greeting the workers and grinning at them. Super cute, right?
Oh no...
Unfortunately, in the pictures snapped by the paparazzi, Rafael wasn’t exactly wearing his mask properly. His mask appeared to have fallen below his nose while he was exploring the store, and Kevin didn’t seem to notice it at all, even when he was carrying the kid.
Gotta be more careful from now on, Kevin!
And it gets worse. Kinda. After their visit to the shops, Kevin and Rafael stopped by a street-side stall, where Kevin bought a Chinese sponge cake as a snack for the both of them, where he reportedly did not wash nor sanitise their hands before or after eating the cake. Yikes.
Kevin's married to TVB star Grace Chan, and they have two sons together — Rafael, and five-month-old Yannick.
