Kenneth Ma Calls Himself "Very Lucky" After Wife Roxanne Tong's Unexpected Response To Lost Wedding Ring

Most people would probably panic if they lost their wedding ring.

TVB actor Kenneth Ma certainly did.

The 52-year-old recently revealed that he misplaced his wedding ring during a work trip to the US.

Kenneth married Hong Kong actress Roxanne Tong, 39, in 2023.

"Initially, I thought: 'I'm dead meat. I'm in trouble. How do I tell my wife?'" he recalled in an interview with Hong Kong media Ming Pao Weekly.

To his surprise, Roxanne couldn't have been more understanding.

"Who knew she would say: 'That's great! We can get a new pair.' That's just the kind of person she is," he said.

"She isn't the type to say: 'Oh, you lost our wedding ring, so our marriage isn't important to you.'"

Rather than dwelling on the loss, Roxanne simply looked on the bright side.

"That means I get a new ring too!" she quipped.

Kenneth admitted he's naturally a pessimist and tends to expect the worst in every situation.

"I tend to prepare for the worst because you never know what's going to happen, so I always imagine the worst-case scenario," he said. "At least that way, I'm mentally prepared."

Thankfully, his wife helps balance him out.

According to Kenneth, Roxanne's optimistic outlook often helps him realise that problems he initially sees as overwhelming aren't actually that serious.

"What I initially thought was a huge deal turns out not to be such a big deal after all," he said.

No wonder the actor says he feels "very lucky to have found a wife like that."
