TVB Actress Katy Kung’s Japanese Model-Turned-Chef Boyfriend Was Introduced To Her By Kevin Cheng's Wife Grace Chan
The couple has been dating for the past two years, and might just tie the knot this year.
Looks like Hong Kong star Grace Chan, 31, is quite the matchmaker.
TVB actress Katy Kung, 33, recently went public with her boyfriend of two years, and it’s said that Grace was the one who brought the two of them together.
Katy dated fellow actor Patrick Tang from 2010 to 2012. Following their breakup, she was romantically linked to other celebs like Kelvin Kwan, James Ng and Sammy Shum, as well as a Malaysian businessman named Bryan. However, she never confirmed any of these relationships.
Then, during an interview on January 29, Katy let slip that she’s currently dating, and that she “will not rule out” the possibility of becoming a bride this year.
Though she did not reveal any other details about her other half, it seems like his identity has pretty much been confirmed.
In a recent video Grace uploaded on her Instagram, netizens could see Katy posing alongside a man who stuck close to her throughout the video.
He was soon revealed to be Matsumoto Tetsuya, a Japanese who moved to Hong Kong at 29 to further his career as a model-actor. He later pivoted to the culinary world, and has since opened two dessert shops in malls like K11 Art Mall and SOGO in Causeway Bay.
Tetsuya and Katy were introduced to each other by Grace, and are currently living together.
According to an unnamed source, Tetsuya used to date another TVB actress before getting together with Katy.
Though the source did not reveal the identity of the other actress, they did share that the actress and Katy do not follow each other on Instagram.
