Retired Ex TVB Actress Kate Tsui Makes First Public Appearance At Charity Event In Malaysia
All for a good cause and she looked every bit the star while doing that.
Former TVB actress Kate Tsui, 42, has kept a really low profile since retiring from showbusiness in 2019. At that time, she said she was going to pursue a PhD in psychology in Europe.
Unfortunately, like so many plans made just before COVID-19, it all disintegrated when the pandemic came slamming into everyone’s lives.
However, Kate, who was crowned Miss Hong Kong in 2004 kept to her word and stayed out of the limelight, even turning all her social media accounts private, which, in the celeb world means that she really, really wanted to stay off the grid.
Her appearance in a photo taken at Eddie Kwan’s wife birthday party last year was the first time she was seen on social media in months.
So what’s this we hear about her making a comeback?
Kate was one of the guests of honour at a charity dinner in Malaysia
Last Friday (Apr 1), Kate was the special guest at the ‘Healing and Empowering Lives’ charity dinner at the One World Hotel in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia. The event marked her first public appearance since she retired from showbusiness.
According to the Malay Mail, funds raised through the dinner would be used to help “at least 150 underprivileged individuals from chronic pain and other health conditions” and also to benefit abused children.

Earlier, she had also shot a video calling for people to support the event and donate to the cause, adding that she hoped to raise 1mil ringgit (S$320K).
Those who saw Kate at the event say she still looks every bit the star and that time away from the spotlight has not diminished her star quality.
She also entertained all requests for photos from the other guests, her behaviour so different from how she reacted when she was spotted shopping for skincare products in Causeway Bay in 2020.
