Karen Mok Just Turned 50 And Netizens Have A Sweet Theory Why Her Husband Gave Her A Cake With The Number 17 On It
How is she 50 already?

Birthday parties during this age of social distancing have become very intimate affairs and Hongkong star Karen Mok’s recent b-day bash was no exception.

Happy birthay!
When the singer-actress hit the big 5-0 (can you believe it?!) on June 2, her German husband of almost 10 years, Johannes Natterer, decided to celebrate the milestone by preparing all their meals on that day, even baking her a birthday cake, according to Chinese news reports.
Karen then documented the celebration on her social media, including pics of a romantic champagne-filled date on their balcony of their home. It's not known where Karen and Johannes are living now but some netizens are saying the lovebirds are in Paris.

Karen and her hubby
“Almost all of my birthdays have been spent at work. I think it’s the first time in so many years that I can spend time with my loved one at home. I’m really grateful to be able to celebrate my birthday, especially during these times,” Karen wrote on Weibo, adding that it was her 71st day of staying home.

Eternally 17
Fans were quick to notice that her husband had placed candles in the shape of the numbers one and seven on her cake. You know, like Karen was celebrating her 17th birthday.

She doesn't look 50
While some netizens agreed that Karen’s youthful beauty makes her look eternally 17 — they went on to call her "Mok Seventeen" — there were those that felt there was a double meaning to it. Not only is Karen forever 17 in Johannes’s eyes, it also represents the age they first met while they were both studying in Italy. Aww...

The duet we all love
Besides her birthday celebration, Karen has also been sharing on YouTube what she and Johannes have been up to at home.
In one video, she showed off her musical talent by teaming up with her hubby to perform a duet on the piano.
“So sweet... Music can connect hearts and enhance relationships!” wrote a fan, while another pointed out that Karen had played the entire song with a smile plastered on her face.
“It's the perfect birthday when the perfect match sits next to you,” someone commented.
