K-Pop Star Says She Counselled A Female Ghost In Her Bathroom
You may be brave, but are you as fearless as 24-year-old K-pop star Jeon Somi?
The Korean-Canadian singer recently spoke about her first and only encounter with a ghost on her YouTube channel, and let's just say that it was not your typical horror story.
She recalled being unable to sleep one night and was tossing and turning in her own bed when she heard someone, um, sobbing loudly.
Instead of feeling scared, Somi said was more irritated by how she couldn't fall asleep.
Somi decided to trace the source of the sound, and heard a girl crying in her bathroom. However, she found no one inside when she opened the door.
She suddenly heard a loud boom and was transported into an old bathroom. "There was a bathtub, a slightly yellow one, and burgundy tiles, like those [you see] on old houses," she recalled.
And in the bathtub, sat a sobbing woman.
Somi realised the 'woman' was a ghost, but said it did not look scary as it appeared human and had a few bruises on her body.
Instead of running away, Somi spoke to the ghost and bombarded it with questions like why she was crying, how she got the bruises, and if something happened in the bathroom.
"Ghosts just wander around when you're asleep," replied the ghost.
Recalling how ghosts in dramas are often unable to leave the mortal realm because they are sad, she offered to listen to the ghost.
Somi also said she realised the ghost looked "kinda pretty" and praised its beauty. The ghost apparently responded with "You think so?" while tucking its hair behind its ear.
Safe to say, they were vibing at this point.
Somi ended up counselling the ghost... or so she claims. She told the ghost: "Your looks don't deserve to be confined here. Please go anywhere you like, and keep your smile. You look so pretty now."
Before she bid farewell to the ghost, and um, go back to sleep, she told the ghost that she would cleanse the energy in her house the next day.
According to Somi, she slept soundly after the encounter, and had forgotten about it when she woke up. She was only reminded of it when she was chatting with her mum on the phone.
Somi's nonchalant way of dealing with what would otherwise be a horrifying encounter left many tickled, with fans saying her extroverted personality really came through.
