Although Hong Kong singer-actor Jordan Chan and his son, 5-year-old Jasper may be receiving a total of RMB$35 million (approximately SGD$6.99 million) for their involvement in the latest season of the popular reality show, Where Are We Going, Dad?, that hefty payout sure doesn’t come easy.

In the latest season, the father-son duo, as well as the production crew will be heading out to the Daocheng county in China, which is 3,753 metres above sea level to film.

Due to the high altitude, oxygen levels are lower, making it harder for those who are not accustomed to such high altitudes to breathe.

As a result, both Jordan and Jasper have to rely on canned oxygen sometimes. In one picture, 51-year-old Jordan, who is clad in an army green jacket, can be seen with a can of oxygen pressed to his lips.

In another picture, Jasper, who is sat between an elderly couple who is presumed to be living in Daocheng county, can be seen breathing in oxygen from a can, with the help of the grandpa.

Although they look a little weak in the pictures, Jasper’s mother, Hong Kong actress Cherrie Ying, has reassured everyone that the duo are absolutely fine and fighting fit in a recent post on Weibo. She also posted a picture of Jasper playing mahjong with the elderly couple, who are grinning from ear to ear as they listen to Jasper.

However, the aforementioned post has been deleted by Cherrie at press time.
