Last month, Taiwanese pop star Jolin Tsai, 42, announced that she would be wrapping up her Ugly Beauty World Tour with six concerts at the Taipei Arena at the end of this year.

According to reports, all 66,000 tickets to the shows were sold out in just six minutes.

With the tickets so highly sought-after, fans had tried all means to get their hands on them, including taking part in a ticketing contest organised by mobile-first digital voucher platform Ticket Xpress.

Participants had to answer a question and winners of the contest would then be given priority when the tickets went on sale.

Fans just can't wait to see the star on stage again

The organiser posed this question: "For the Ugly Beauty World Tour, how many concerts have already been held?"

And the answer they provided was "23".

But that turned out to be incorrect.

The actual answer should have been 17.

This boo-boo led many fans, who actually submitted the correct answer, to miss the chance to purchase priority tickets.

The concert organiser subsequently took to their social media to apologise for the blunder.

"To all the consumers who were affected by the priority ticket sales for the Ugly Beauty concert this time, we're really sorry," they said.

That's it?
