Joey Yung Swallowed Pig Feed, Michael Tse Drank Urine & Jackson Wang Ate Bat Poop For Chinese Variety Shows
At least Joey looked like she really enjoyed it.
With so many celebs flocking to China these days, it's no surprise that sometimes they have to go the extra mile to make themselves stand out.
Yes, even if they have to resort to eating really weird things on variety shows, like what Hongkong singer Joey Yung, 42, recently did.
In a recent episode of HunanTV's Let It Be, Joey was tasked to prepare food for her pet pig, which she'd named Zhu Fu.
While the singer was prepping the feed, she suddenly said: "Actually, these can be eaten by humans too right? It looks quite tasty."
And before you know it... Joey dug into the bowl of pig feed.
She then went on to say that it tastes like "the breakfast oats that she likes to eat".
While some netizens found Joey very adorable for being a "glutton who even wants to eat pig feed", some suspected that the scene was scripted, and chastised Joey for "going all out just to make money in China."
Joey isn't the first star to put weird things in her mouth for entertainment.
In 2016 Chinese variety show Survivor Games with Bear Grylls, Hongkong actor Michael Tse was asked to drink his own overnight pee. Yikes.
At that time, he said: "I had no choice, so I had to face it. Even though it was disgusting, I couldn't run away from it."
Meanwhile, Jackson Wang had to eat bat and rabbit poop, which are used by some as Chinese herbs, on 2016 Chinese variety show A Little Rebellion UNIVERSITY.
Damn, that's nasty.
