Joe Chen Said To Be Such A Heavy Smoker, Her Hotel Room Was Strewn With Cigarette Butts And Reeked Of Smoke

Veteran Taiwanese paparazzo Ge Siqi has no qualms about spilling tea about  the stars.

He previously exposed Barbie Hsu’s former husband, Chinese businessman Wang Xiaofei’s cheating ways, and also accused Dee Hsu’s husband of of being a philanderer.

Last week, Siqi shared in a live broadcast that Taiwanese actress Joe Chen, 43, who is known for her sweet girl-next-door image, is a completely different person off camera.

Siqi said that Joe, who starred in hit idol dramas The Prince Who Turns Into A Frog and Fated to Love You, is a smoker and a very heavy one at that.

According to Siqi, years ago when Joe was filming a movie, the cast and crew were put up in the same hotel and were repeatedly reminded not to smoke in their rooms.

However after they checked out, a cleaning staff complained to Siqi that the room Joe occupied “reeked of smoke and there were cigarette butts all over the floor”.

She added that it took her team a long time to get rid of the smell.

Not only that, Joe allegedly left the room in a mess. The staff claimed that things were strewn all over the place and the room was very difficult to clean.

While some netizens felt that smoking was "no big deal" (Joe has been snapped smoking in public many times), others were surprised that she would litter her room with cigarette butts.

Besides smoking, Joe also loves to drink.

In 2018, she was arrested for drink driving after she was pulled over for turning right at a red light.

Though her alcohol level was 0.67mg, Joe claimed she only had a bottle of beer. She was later sentenced to 60 hours of community service.
