JJ Lin’s Back In Singapore For Chinese New Year, And His First Meal Back Here Was Nasi Briyani
Keep your eyes peeled when you’re out and you might catch JJ biking around town with his family.
Holidays, especially Chinese New Year, for those that celebrate it, are usually an occasion for reunion and celebration. And for homegrown singer JJ Lin, who’s been based in Taiwan for most of 2020, well, he’s returned home to Singapore to celebrate with his family.
Yes, the 39-year-old is back in Singapore, after closely observing all the necessary precautions, of course.

The singer shared in his fortnightly livestream session, 'JJ’s Bloom n’ Tunes ‘ on Feb 3 that he’d flown back to Singapore a few days beforehand, and tested negative for COVID-19.
As visitors from Taiwan, which has managed to contain the pandemic, do not have to serve a Stay-home notice (SHN), JJ was free to reunite with his family after his test results were out.
Oh, and for the foodies who were curious — JJ’s first meal upon his return was none other than nasi briyani, which he said is something that he “can't really find outside of Singapore”.
On Feb 7, JJ took to his Instagram to share what he’s been up to these days, revealing that he went on a bike ride around town with his family.
"Biking day with the fam! [Upon my] return to Singapore, of course, I have to meet up with my family, and exercise!” JJ wrote in his caption

As it turns out, JJ and family had gone for a bike ride around town, with Singapore’s iconic skyline behind them, ‘cos there’s no better time than now to be a tourist in your own city. Just ask our local celebs, who’ve been having a great time exploring our local nature trails.
Maybe we’ll be able to catch sight of JJ on our favourite hiking trail soon?

While JJ didn’t exactly share how long he’ll be in Singapore for, the singer did mention that he’d returned just for Chinese New Year, which probably means that he won’t be able to stay for long. But hey, better to have spent some time together, than not at all, right?
