JJ Lin, 40, recently spoke to Taiwanese host Matilda Tao about how pushing back his concert for a year has led to one very unexpected snafu.
“After I announced my concert tour, Sanctuary Wonderland, the COVID-19 pandemic became a global problem and we had to keep waiting [to see when we’d be able to hold the concert]," said JJ.
"After about a year, we decided to hold a virtual concert instead. We ordered a new set of costumes based on the measurements that were taken [a year ago because] the tailor wasn’t able to take my measurements again.”
“When the outfits were mailed to us, I realised that I couldn’t fit into my pants. I couldn’t button them up,” he laughed. “We had to get it altered and I also controlled my diet after that.”
Matilda then cheekily suggested that JJ get his tailor to include elastic bands to the waist of his pants should he put on weight again.
In related news, the singer revealed in a recent YouTube video that he’s planning to open a Singapore branch of his Taiwan cafe Miracle Coffee.
“I’ve been looking for suitable spots and partners to work with,” he said. “I’d love to have Miracle Coffee in different cities (…) but I’d still want to be able to personally be there to oversee [the process, so] we’re still trying [to make it happen].”
