Jimmy Lin’s Tesla Burst Into Flames After Crashing Into Signpost, Singer & 6-Year-Old Son Were In The Car When Accident Happened

Earlier today (Jul 22), 47-year-old Taiwanese actor Jimmy Lin’s Tesla reportedly burst into flames after crashing into a signpost in Taoyuan City.

Jimmy and his six-year-old son, Jensen, were in the car when the accident happened. 

According to Taiwanese media SET news, witnesses reported that a white Tesla, which was making a U-turn on Zhongzheng Road, veered to the outside lane and slammed into a steel sign post in Luzhu District at around 11:00 a.m.

The car was said to have burst into flames upon impact and bystanders rushed to pull the driver and a child out of the vehicle. It was later discovered that the pair was Jimmy and his son Jensen.

Jimmy's face was reportedly covered in blood and his arm dislocated when he was rescued out of the car. Meanwhile, Jensen suffered bruises to his face. 

After paramedics arrived, father and son were taken to Linkou Chang Gung Memorial Hospital for treatment and their injuries were assessed to be non-life-threatening.

When videos and images of the accident were first circulated, netizens reached out to Jimmy's manager who responded that she was "still checking".

She later confirmed the news with Taiwanese media NOWnews, saying: "Thank you for all your concern. Jimmy and his son are currently under observation in the hospital, we will respond again if there are updates."

It was later reported that Jimmy's condition is stable though his arm was fractured in the accident. 

Netizens also messaged Jimmy's wife Kelly Chen on her Instagram, asking if "everything is okay".
