Taiwanese star Jimmy Lin, 48, is well on the road to recovery some five months after getting into a horrific accident in his Tesla car.

At that time, it was reported that he was “on the brink of death”, and was lucky to have been pulled out of the car, which had burst into flames, by bystanders. Jimmy’s six-year-old son, Jenson, was in the car as well, and was reported to have escaped unscathed.

Following the accident, Jimmy lost over 10kg, and was warded for 10 days at the hospital’s intensive care unit. He also had to go for two operations, to set his facial fractures, as well as to affix a titanium rod to his arm.

In October, he gave everyone an update on his condition, assuring fans that he’s doing well.

In mid-November, he shared a picture of him cycling with a friend on his Instagram Story, though netizens noted that the star still “looked very pale” in the picture.

In the pink of health?

Now, reports have shared that Jimmy’s mum, artist Lin Jinhua, recently donated NT$4.3mil (S$190,000) to charity as a way to give thanks for her son’s smooth recovery and good health.

Jimmy’s mum, who’s a renowned porcelain painter, holds a charity sale every year.

This year, however, she took the advice of her friends to bring forward her annual charity sale. She crafted 70 different art pieces, which all sold out in just three months.

On Nov 30, Jinhua, as well as Jimmy’s younger brother, presented the cheque with their NT$4.3mil (S$190,000) donation to the Taichung Warm Breeze Caring Association.
