“I’m Too Good” Jet Li Shares Rare Family Mahjong Moment During CNY
While we are used to seeing martial arts icon Jet Li in fight scenes, it seems this Chinese New Year, it is all about the mahjong tiles for him.
In a rare glimpse into his private life, the 62-year-old superstar took to his official Facebook and Instagram accounts on February 15 to share moments from his CNY celebrations.
Captioned simply, “Playing mahjong with family,” the post showed Jet coaching one of his daughters, Jane, on which tiles to discard.
Jane later commented, “Haha! I look so serious.”
Well, to be fair, mahjong is serious business.
At one point, when asked why he wasn’t playing, Jet smirked and said: “Me? I play too good. I play mahjong for more than 40 years. Very fun! What do you guys like to play?”
While we always love a little peek into the private lives of our favourite stars, we can’t help but feel like Jet is so much like that irritating uncle or auntie who won’t allow you to pong in peace.
C’mon, Jet, be still like water.
Of course, netizens had their jokes.
“With that hand speed, it would be unfair to the rest of the family,” read a comment, referring to Jet’s super-quick movements in his films.
Another joked, “Try to cheat while playing with him, and that mahjong tile will fly right between your eyes”.
