Jessica Hsuan Once Received A Photo Of Her Ex In Bed With Two Women
Hong Kong actress Jessica Hsuan's love life is something people would never stop probing about — especially those who really hope she'll one day end up with long-time rumoured boyfriend Louis Koo.
Sadly, shippers are gonna be disappointed yet again because the 55-year-old has just confirmed that she's still single.
“I believe I’ll definitely meet the right person. It's not that I want to get married, I just want a companion," she said in a recent interview.
Looking back, the 2025 Star Awards Best Actress confessed that, as compared to her past impulsive self, she now handles things much more calmly.
“I once received a photo from someone I didn’t know, my then-boyfriend was in bed with two other women!" she exclaimed.
While most people would fly into a rage upon seeing something like that, the actress coolly woke her partner up to clarify the situation.
“I knew it was an old photo at one glance, because he was thinner back then. He got a bit chubbier later," she explained.
If something like that happened in the past, Jessica would probably be way more agitated.
"That’s why I felt the need speak with reason at the time, especially since the [bed photo] incident was already over. In the past, I always felt insecure in relationships and only trusted myself," she said.
Throughout her career, Jessica reportedly had a few known relationships — namely with Hong Kong actor Dicky Cheung, businessman Ronald Wing, dentist Kevin Chan, veterinarian Ruan and an Italian guy named Fran.
The actress, however, disclaimed that she has "no regrets" when asked if she had ever lost a partner because of an emotional outburst.
"The more you dwell on it, the sadder you’ll feel. I believe what’s meant to be yours will always come back to you," she mused.
Even though she’s in her 50s, Jessica still believes in love.
"Something that happened a few years ago changed the way I see things. I was skiing with a much younger boyfriend — about 12 years younger — and we got along really well. That experience reminded me to open up to dating younger men," she said.
“The truth is, [prior to that] I once dated a man 10 years younger than me, and we had some unpleasant experiences", added Jessica.
The actress knows exactly what she wants in a man now.
Though her friends did urge her to look for a "rich bachelor", she still chooses to prioritise communication.
“Financially, I can take care of myself. I don’t need someone to support me. If we can communicate well, I’m sure he’s not the type who would spend a woman’s money!," she quipped.
As she got older, Jessica also became increasing cautious in relationships.
“[I] might worry that they have ulterior motives when getting close [to me], so it’s important to know clearly what you want. You can’t just blindly rush into love like when you’re young," she said.
“Dating should make both people happy. If he’s unhappy and I’m the only one enjoying it, I’ll choose to walk away.”
When 8days.sg spoke to the actress previously in January 2024, she shared that she is "quite happy by [herself]".
"I think I have a lot of freedom and I also have quite a lot of people around me who are not really happy being married," she said.
Back then, Jessica also told us that she "never really wanted a kid". Why?
"One of the biggest issues with me is that I don't have patience. Whenever I see children I'm like, 'Oh my god'," she laughed.
