Jerry Yan, 46, Says He Doesn’t Use His Phone At All To Be Emotionally Balanced

Taiwanese star and former F4 member Jerry Yan, is often praised for looking much younger than his 46 years. 

Last year, Jerry even revisited his Dao Ming Si character from 2001 hit drama Meteor Garden for a variety show, with fans saying that he still looks the same as he did two decades ago.

Jerry currently stars in the drama, Xia Hua (夏花) with Chinese actress Xu Ruohan, who is 21 years his junior.

The romance series, which was adapted from a book, has gained plenty of attention from audiences and netizens, with many saying that Jerry is still every bit the idol today.

Jerry has been known to be very reserved and private about his personal life. 

At a media event in China, Jerry was asked about how he stays at peace and emotionally balanced. 

The actor's reply? “It’s very simple, [I] don’t use my phone at all.” 

“I think [a phone] has its pros and cons. In current times, there is an overload of information, and you receive plenty of [news] from the outside world. I feel that sometimes, these things can easily disrupt the pace in which you live your life. So I seldom use my phone, and I don’t read any sorts of news for entertainment,” he explained.
