Jay Chou’s 5-Year-Old Daughter Just Played Beethoven’s ‘Ode To Joy’ On The Piano With Her Dad
Can we have Jay as our piano teacher too?
Celeb couple Jay Chou and Hannah Quinlivan’s daughter, Hathaway, might only be five, but she’s already quite the piano prodigy.
We can't say we're totally surprised though.
She's a natural
After all, Jay is quite the accomplished pianist himself, having picked up piano at the ripe old age of four. And now, it seems like he’s starting little Hathaway on piano lessons as well.
On September 30, Hannah, 27, posted a short clip of Jay, 41, with Hathaway on Instagram. In the clip, father and daughter are seated in front of a piano and are in the midst of playing Beethoven’s 'Ode To Joy' together.
While Hathaway was only playing with one hand, she seemed very confident, as Jay played the same melody beside her.View this post on Instagram周老師開課囉！�������� Hathy has her best teacher on board.

After the two of them completed the song, Jay raised his hands in celebration, with a happy Hannah captioning the video: “Teacher Chou’s starting lessons, Hathy has the best teacher on board”.
Hannah’s short clip was very well received by fans and friends alike. A number of celeb pals even chimed in to clamour for piano lessons from Jay too.
Amongst the many celebs who shared their interest in Jay’s piano lessons were Taiwanese actor Xiu Jie Kai, as well as Taiwanese actress Beatrice Fang.
So... no lessons then?
However, it isn’t so easy to get Jay as your piano teacher. The pop king later left a teasing comment on Hannah’s post, writing: “My tuition fees are really expensive!”
In any case, it looks like Jay’s got his hands full tutoring Hathaway in piano, and his three-year-old son, Romeo in singing.
