If you follow Jay Chou, 43, and wife Hannah Quinlivan, 28, on social media, you’d know their family-of-five is currently holidaying in Australia.

The couple, who have three kids, son Romeo, four, and two daughters, six-year-old Hathaway and one-month-old Jacinda, have been posting snippets from their travels.

Fans, who ran into Jay on the streets of Sydney and Gold Coast, have also been sharing their paparazzi pics of the singer and star struck experiences online.

Jay and his family out and about in Sydney.

While most gushed about how friendly and down-to earth the star was, there was one netizen who had a less-than-pleasant experience with Jay and his entourage.

According to the netizen, the incident happened when she was looking at strollers at a baby store in Chatswood, a "well-to-do” suburb in Sydney.

When she took out her mobile phone to compare prices, a man suddenly
approached her and said to her in a stern tone: “Don’t take photos.”

He continued: “This is their resting time. Quick, let me see your photos.”

Stunned, the woman said she did as she was told and let him scroll through her photo album, which was filled with photos she took of her daughter.

This was also when
she noticed that Jay and his family were also in the store.

The woman said that after checking her phone, the man continued to stand in front of her as though to block her view of Jay.

As she wanted to see the strollers, she had to ask him "Can I go there?"

“Thinking back, they were violating my privacy. In Australia, they have no right to ask to see [the contents of] my handphone and block my way. Does the store belong to him?” she wrote.

She said that fortunately her daughter was not with her as the experience was quite frightening.

Netizens have since left comments saying that the matter had nothing to do with Jay and the woman should not direct her anger on the star.

There were also netizens who agreed that the behaviour of Jay’s assistant was inappropriate and he was a “black sheep” on the star's team.
