Jay Chou’s 7-Yr-Old Son Wins Tennis Championship
Are we looking at the next Grand Slam champ?
It looks like Mandopop King Jay Chou’s love for tennis has rubbed off on his son Romeo, seven.
On Sunday (Mar 2), his wife, Hannah Quinlivan took to Instagram to post pictures of Romeo’s first tennis tournament win.
Wearing sunglasses to protect his identity, Romeo is seen proudly holding his trophy while posing for a picture with Hannah.
In a post to Instagram, Hannah expressed her pride, writing “Proud mum” and also shared that her youngest child, Jacinda, two, has cutely declared that she’ll be next to bring home a trophy.
In addition to Romeo and Jacinda, Jay and Hannah also share a daughter, Hathaway, who is nine.
Though it is unclear the name of the tournament Romeo participated in, his victory comes as no surprise.
Romeo has been seen practicing hard on the court for a few years now and has even met tennis legends such as Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal before.
A video from November last year showed Romeo besting his mum in a tennis match.
Jay has previously praised Romeo’s skill on the court, even noting that his son shows more focus than the singer does during a songwriting session.
Fans were taken by how cute Romeo looks with some saying that together with Jay, the family now has “two tennis princes”.
“He looks exactly like Jay when he smiled with his trophy,” read a comment.
Game, set, match! In a few more years, maybe Romeo can turn pro.
