24-Yr-Old Ex Japanese Idol Reveals She Has Spent S$48K On Cosmetic Surgery Since She Was 12

How much would you spend to look your best? For former Japanese idol Sakaki Miyu, the answer is around S$48K.

The 24-year-old former STU48 member, now a beauty influencer, recently opened up about the extensive cosmetic procedures she has undergone on her face and body.

Appearing on Japanese reality show Love Hyena 6, Miyu joined a dating segment called Silicone's Love, which follows women who have undergone cosmetic surgery as they search for romance.

Miyu revealed that she had her first double eyelid procedure in her first year of junior high school, when she was around 12 or 13. She has since undergone the surgery four times.

She later had a full nose job involving implants and ear cartilage, as well as facial liposuction and thread lifts.

“All in all, I’ve spent about 6 million yen (S$48.2k) on cosmetic surgery,” she revealed.

Her new look even took some getting used to.

After her nose job, Miyu once reached for a hot coffee and accidentally bumped her newly higher nose bridge into the lid, having been so accustomed to her old nose.

The story left everyone in the studio amused.

Miyu also admitted that around age 20, she became somewhat carried away with her appearance. Eventually, however, she realised that looking prettier didn't necessarily make dating any easier.

During a one-on-one date on the show, a male participant asked to see what Miyu looked like before her procedures.

She happily pulled out her phone and showed him a photo of herself from her first year of junior high school.

While the hosts and other guests were stunned by her transformation, her date had a much more understated reaction.

After studying the photo, he simply told her: “You can still see the resemblance.”

Well, S$48K later, apparently some things haven't changed after all.

Miyu then shared a funny incident that happened after her nose job. One day, she reached for a hot coffee with a lid, only to forget that her nose bridge was now higher after getting used to her old nose. She said her newly prominent nose ended up bumping straight into the lid, much to the amusement of everyone in the studio.

She also admitted that around the age of 20, she became a little carried away with her new looks. But she eventually realised that looking pretty didn’t necessarily make dating any easier, leaving her feeling troubled about her love life.

While on the show, Miyu took part in a one-on-one segment with a male participant. As they chatted by the pool, he became curious about what she looked like before her cosmetic procedures and asked if he could see an old photo.

Miyu happily obliged, casually pulling out her phone to show him a picture of herself from her first year of junior high school.

While the hosts and other guests in the studio were surprised by her transformation, the male guest simply took a close look at the photo before telling her candidly: “You can still see the resemblance.”

Well, Miyu may have caught everyone’s attention with her dramatic before-and-after transformation, but perhaps it looks like she might be one step closer to finding love after all.
