This Handsome Japanese Barista Looks Like BTS' V

Imagine cafe-hopping while on holiday in Japan, and you chance upon BTS’s V aka Kim Taehyung flashing you a smile as you collect your order.

Wait a minute, isn’t the much-loved boyband member supposed to be serving his national service in South Korea till June 2025?

It seems a netizen’s recent post of Takano Ren, a barista in Japan who is said to look like the singer, is going viral on social media.

Takano is said to be the owner of Ni. 5, a café that operates only on weekends from 11am to 5pm.

According to some sources, his weekdays are spent working at another café and co-working space.

While some ARMY aka BTS fans are already planning to visit the unassuming café in Mie Prefecture's Tie City to catch a glimpse of Takano, many seem divided over the claims that he is V’s doppelganger.

“If he (Takano) covered his chin, then he would look like V,” wrote a netizen.

“I don’t see the resemblance, but he (Takano) is so handsome,” commented another.

A netizen even said guys that look like the popstar “are everywhere in Japan” and “it is his (Takano) gestures that resemble V more than his looks.”

Another hilariously wrote, “I’m not an ARMY and I don’t see the similarities. But I would like to visit the café and talk to him as he is so handsome, “admitted a netizen.

Well, we are guessing fans will have to make do till V returns from his military obligations.
