The cancellation of the 2020 Hongkong Film Awards’ physical ceremony due to the COVID-19 pandemic has left fashion critics without their usual dose of red carpet drama, which is probably why some have taken to going through photos of previous years’ outfits to get their fix.
The #throwback trawl eventually resulted in the crowning of the event’s “Most Beautiful Look of All Time", with Hongkong media bestowing that honour upon 31-year-old model-actress Janice Man and her super-revealing black dress from 2016.

Although Janice failed to bag the Best Supporting Actress award for her role in crime thriller Helios that year, the ultra-revealing Versus by Versace gown she wore certainly seems to have left a lasting impression.
Of course, rocking such a risqué number was not without its risks. In order to avoid any unwanted exposure, Janice reportedly spent three hours taping the dress down so as to prevent a wardrobe malfunction.
A very wise choice, considering that she couldn’t wear any underwear ‘cos of that super high and wide side slit (if you can call it that).
She’s literally stuck on that dress
In addition, Janice had to work very hard to maintain her figure for several months leading up to the ceremony, but all that discipline paid off ‘cos not only did she look stunning, her red carpet appearance also boosted her popularity and landed her a number of acting offers.
