Jacqueline Wong Releases Sultry Music Video Teaser To Announce Showbiz Comeback 4 Years After Andy Hui Cheating Scandal
The single will drop on Valentine’s Day tomorrow.
Looks like Hong Kong actress Jacqueline Wong, 34, is ready to make her showbiz comeback, four years after being part of one of Asian showbiz's biggest cheating scandals.
Back in 2019, Jacqueline became persona non grata after getting exposed for cheating on her then-boyfriend, Hong Kong actor Kenneth Ma, 49, with singer-actor Andy Hui, 55, who’s married to fellow Hong Kong star Sammi Cheng, 50.
Both Jacqueline and Andy were quickly vilified, with both parties announcing a hiatus from their showbiz activities.
While Andy staged his comeback two years later in 2021, it’s been quiet on the work front for Jacqueline, who was rumoured to have been put in ‘cold storage’ by TVB until her contract with the broadcaster ended in mid-2022.
Now, Jacqueline is ready to return to the spotlight.
On February 12, she shared a snippet from a teaser for her upcoming single, ‘Crown Me’, on her Instagram, with the caption: "Feb 14th stay tuned.”
The 20-second clip featured Jacqueline dancing in what appears to be an auction house as dramatic music plays.
Over on YouTube, the teaser has amassed over 18,000 views in less than a day.
Online reaction appears to be mixed.
“So happy to see that you’re coming back, hope that you can become even better, wishing you well!” one comment read, while another wrote: “Hope you can have a duet with Andy Hui in the future”.
Well… looks like the internet isn’t too keen on forgiving and forgetting just yet.
