Jacky Wu Talks About The Time Jay Chou And Landy Wen Came This Close To Dying
He was their emergency contact.
Remember the infamous feud between pop king Jay Chou and his former mentor Jacky Wu? If you don't, you can read about it in detail here.
But the duo buried the hatchet last year when Jay posted a pic of Jacky and his bandmates on Instagram, wishing him luck for his concert. Jacky, on the other hand, mentioned to reporters that he had “already let the incident go”.

And they are still on good terms, judging by how often Jacky mentioned Jay’s name on a recent episode of Chinese variety show Masked Singer, where he is part of the judging panel.
Jacky even requested to sing an impromptu duet of his song, 'Rooftop' with guest Landy Wen who famously sang a cover of that tune with Jay. However, Jacky went off-key in the middle of the chorus, prompting the rest of the judges, including SHE’s Ella Chen and Jay’s ex Patty Hou, to tease him mercilessly.

After that boo boo, Jacky questioned Landy: “You’ve sang with Jay, and now you’ve sung with me. Who sings better, me or Jay Chou?” Landy, not wanting to give an answer, simply shrugged her shoulders.
On the other hand, Ella immediately got on her feet and and jokingly chided Jacky: “Have you got nothing better to do?”
Patty then chimed in: “Why are you humiliating yourself?" 
Standing up for himself
Jacky was then asked about his relationship with Landy and he revealed a story that surprised everyone.
“Actually, I’ve known Landy for many, many years and there was once she had a near-death experience. And it was with Jay and [Taiwanese actor-singer] Will Liu. They were hanging out really late one night and Jay decided to take a bath. One thing about Jay is that he takes baths for over an hour. So when he came out of the bathroom, he said that he felt faint and he saw Landy lying on the floor, with foam coming out of her mouth,” Jacky said, much to the shock of everyone.

“Will managed to crawl to the neighbour’s house to ask for help," Jacky continued. "Turns out, there had been a gas leak. At that time, I was sleeping peacefully at home when I received a call at 4am. (Laughs) Luckily, I picked up my phone! I immediately rushed down to the hospital. As I was talking to the doctor, tears rolled down my eyes. I told the doc that there was a superstar in the making, and that he needed to save that person...” Jacky said while holding eye contact with Landy. “I was referring to Will,” he laughed as Landy stomped her feet in mock anger.
