Jacky Wu Says He Is Prepared To Get Scolded By Haters After Revealing His Plans To Expand His Businesses In China

At an event to celebrate the new season of his variety show Super Entourage, Taiwanese host Jacky Wu, 60, revealed to the media that he is planning to head to Beijing and Chengdu to expand his side businesses, which include the sale of vacuum cleaners and speakers.

Now that the Covid situation is improving, Jacky thinks it's the right time to enter the Chinese market “in full force”, and already has trips planned in March and June.

However, he is aware that his decision to enter the Chinese market will be met with plenty of disapproval from pro-Taiwan independence netizens.

“The haters will not be able to handle me. I can take on 500 hateful netizens on my own,” said Jacky.

He also added that in these post-Covid times, both sides of the Taiwan Strait would need him to fully achieve a wu zhong xian(无中线), which means a seamless cohesion and is also a play on his Chinese name Wu Zhongxian (吴宗宪).

“The most important thing in life is harmony. [If the haters] are looking for people to fight with every day, and there’s a huge wolf beside them, they wouldn’t dare to reach their hands over right,” he continued.
