Among the famous names watching the Australian Open finals in Melbourne last weekend (Jan 25) was Hong Kong action superstar Jackie Chan, 70.

Jackie’s appearance at the tennis tournament immediately made headlines, with Australian media posting clips of his surprise visit.

He also became a hot topic among netizens, with some observing how much Jackie has aged and how his eyelids “looked heavy” and that he looked “tired”.

Did they forget that he turns 71 in April?

Some netizens, however, were more surprised by how "old" and "fatigued" he looked

Despite his appearance, Jackie remains spry and is as skilled in martial arts as ever.

That much was proven in a clip posted on the Australian Open social media page.

Jackie was in a gym and showing off his moves. He first received a baton from a man and proceeded to expertly twirl it before making a couple of super quick strikes. He then passed the baton back to the guy, who tried to replicate Jackie's routine but whose skills paled in comparison.

Jackie also taught the man his famous party trick he placed a piece of candy in his outstretched palm, then gave his arm a quick smack to send the candy flying into his mouth.

His companion picked up the trick immediately, earning applause and a hug from the star himself.

“Jackie really knows how to make friends,” quipped one netizen, while another wrote: “This shows you how popular Jackie is worldwide.”

Jackie may be older now, but it’s clear as day that his skills will never fail to impress.

He's still got it
