Jackie Chan, 70, Faints While Getting Strangled For A Scene, Asks What Happened After Regaining Consciousness
Martial arts legend Jackie Chan is 70 and he still does his own stunts.
In a recent behind-the-scenes video from his new movie Panda Plan, Jackie is getting headlocked by a man before suddenly losing consciousness and falling to the ground.
Jackie's scene partner quickly releases his hold and helps Jackie sit up while the crew runs over to help.
At this point, Jackie's faced is wiped of any expression and appears unaware of what was going on.
After a slight pause, he looks at a member of the crew and asks: "What are we doing?"
When he finds out that he had fainted, Jackie, in total disbelief, says it happened probably because he was holding his breath while they were doing the stunt.
As expected, Jackie insisted he's fine, even though he needed help getting up. A quick break later and they filmed the same scene again.
Jackie shared more about what happened on set that day during an interview.
"It's not a big deal, I need to assure everyone else [that I'm fine] otherwise they would want me to use a stunt double," he says.
"If I just sit there while they use a stunt double, and they just film my close-ups after he's done, I would feel very guilty!," he said.
Seriously Jackie, it's time to cut yourself some slack. You're as old as our grandparents.
