Jackie Chan Allegedly Auctioning The Beijing Apartment Where His Son Got Nabbed For Drugs
Starting bid’s a cool S$14mil.

Yep, you read that right. According to Chinese media, an apartment that reportedly belongs to Jackie Chan was recently listed for auction on a Chinese auction site.

Ka-ching!
The apartment, which is located in Beijing’s Dongcheng district, is reportedly a jumbo flat spanning 1,200 square metres and has six bedrooms and three living rooms. Due to its luxurious fittings and prime location, the starting bid for the mansion was fixed at 71.9mil yuan (S$14mil).

Jaycee and Kai Ko with Taiwanese actor Chen Bolin
But that’s not the juicy part. According to netizens, this luxurious mansion is allegedly the place where Jackie’s son, 37-year-old actor-singer Jaycee Chan, was nabbed in a marijuana bust, along with Taiwanese actor Kai Ko in 2014. Yikes.
While the listing appears to have been taken down as of press time, screenshots taken by netizens have since made it online. Chinese media have also separately confirmed that the 68-year-old star does indeed own property in that area.

Nah, they're doing well
However, this doesn’t mean that Jackie’s facing financial trouble though. According to Jackie’s company, the reason the apartment is up for auction is ‘cos of the building's developer. Apparently, the rights to the apartment was never officially transferred over to Jackie, despite the developers handing the apartment over to his family 13 years ago.
Now, the developer’s assets have been forcibly seized after being sued by creditors due to a financial dispute. As Jackie’s apartment is still a property of the developer in the eyes of the law, it was subsequently put up for auction. Double yikes.

That's one spacious apartment
