“Isn't It 2021? Why Are Women Still Being Held Hostage By Their Age?”: Dee Hsu, 43, On Sarah Jessica Parker Getting Age Shamed

There’s been a lot of nasty comments about Sarah Jessica Parker after it was announced that the 56-year-old is playing Carrie Bradshaw again in And Just Like That, the TV revival of her zeitgeist-changing series Sex And The City.

In a cover story with Vogue, SJP described the ageist comments directed at her and her co-stars Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon as “ misogynist chatter”.

“Everyone has something to say. 'She has too many wrinkles, she doesn’t have enough wrinkles.'... I know what I look like. I have no choice. What am I going to do about it? Stop ageing? Disappear?” she said.

Her words resounded with people all over the world, including Taiwanese host Dee Hsu, 43.
