Insta-Buzz: What The Stars Were Up To This Week
New music, new dramas and of course, red carpet appearances. We may be into the last month of 2023, but the stars are proving to be busier than ever.
Also, find out which two personalities were recently recognised for hitting their 25-year milestone at Mediacorp? Psst… They totally don’t look their age!
“It’s A Wrap!”: Elvin Ng posted pictures after filming his last scenes for My One And Only
Has it already been nine months?
It seems so and we love all the pictures that Elvin has been sharing on his social media.

Eleanor Lee revealed new pictures of her as Xiao Long Nu in the upcoming adaptation of Return of the Condor Heroes
It may be almost 30 years since Fann Wong played the iconic role but Singapore is getting another Xiao Long Nu (Little Dragon Girl) in 24-year-old Eleanor Lee.
The daughter of Quan Yifeng and Peter Yu was reported to have scored the role back in 2018 and recently took to social media to post a couple of promotional pictures of her dressed as the elegant beauty.
Class 95 jock Jean Danker broke her shoe on the day she received her Mediacorp Long Service Award
25 years sure flew by quick.
It feels like it was only recently when we first heard Jean's signature voice on 987.
However, we were brought to laughter when her Class 95 colleagues The Muttons, who hosted the Mediacorp Long Service Awards ceremony, shared that Jean’s pair of heels had given way earlier in the day.
Apparently, the 45-year-old star had not worn the pair since the 2020 lockdown. She also poked fun at herself saying “it always pays to have a zillion other pairs of shoes stashed in your car".
Wait, did someone wish for her to “break a leg” before heading out?

CNA’s Glenda Chong was also honoured with a Long Service Award
The 51-year-old CNA anchor may be always so serious on News Tonight, but we personally love how she is quite the comic whenever she posts behind-the-scenes footage from the newsroom.
Glenda also took to Instagram with pictures from the event with the caption, “Yes, I started when I was 15…,” drawing laughs and comments from friends and colleagues.

Actress-dancer Priyah Rao shared that she was actually unwell when she hosted her very first Deepavali show
Looking at her energetic Instagram reel hosting a Deepavali event for the first time, no one would have thought that 33-year-old Priya Rao was suffering from severe food poisoning after an unfortunate meal across the Causeway.
“I was running on 100plus trying to stay alive [for the event] though I was nauseous throughout…” she shared. She later made the decision to check into the hospital where she was warded for three days.
Thankfully, the sister of Oli 968 jock Nithiya Rao is now back on the mend though she shared to 8days.sg that it might be a month before she fully recovers.
Get well soon, Priyah!

987 DJ Germaine Tan said she has never peeled prawns for anyone… except for her Zouk CEO boyfriend
Aww... Now that is when you know you have a keeper.
The jock recently posted a video of herself on Instagram peeling prawns for boyfriend Andrew Li with the caption that she has “never peeled prawns for anyone in my life so I must really love this man.”
Germaine's definitely not the princess in this relationship.

Benjamin Kheng showed off some fancy footwork in the preview for his new song ‘A Nothing Day’ on Instagram
Multi-hyphenate Benjamin Kheng just released his latest single ‘A Nothing Day’ with fellow singer-songwriter Rangga Jones, and we have to say, it is quite the bop.
What caught our attention was how he hilariously swayed down a boardwalk dressed in a singlet, black jeans and boots before oozing some major emo vibes for the rest of the reel.

Local actress Xixi Lim looked amazing at the Singapore International Film Festival (SGIFF)
Can we say it is always refreshing to see the Streamers Go Live winner on the red carpet?
This time, the 35-year-old actress caught our attention at the SGIFF dressed in a statement black dress. She finished the look off with some silver high heels, and is seen here with model-host Aimee Cheng-Bradshaw.
Keep slaying, Xixi!

Chiou Huey and her now husband Truman Yap brought on the laughs at their wedding
When actress-comedienne Chiou Huey got married to her longtime partner, Truman Yap, we knew it would be anything but conventional.
Well, they didn’t disappoint, and we couldn’t help but smirk when the two dressed in traditional Chinese wedding outfits along with some swanky black sunglasses.
Thanks for still bringing laughter on your special day!
