How many people showed up and what happened when he "came back to life"?
Man Fakes His Own Death To See Who Would Turn Up For His Funeral

Ever wondered how to find out who really cares for you?

Well, one man in India took that question to a whole new level: by faking his own death just to see who’d show up at his funeral.

Yes, really.

Mohan Lal, a 74-year-old former Air Force veteran from Konchi Village, reportedly staged his own death to find out who truly valued him.

“After death, I wanted to witness for myself how much respect and affection people gave me,” he told reporters later in an interview.

And apparently, the answer was… a lot.

Hundreds of people reportedly turned up to mourn him as Mohan was well-known for his community work.

He even helped build a crematorium in the area after seeing how difficult cremations were during the rainy season.

Well, we can only imagine their shocked faces when he ‘rose from the dead’  when he was about to be cremated.

We get it. He wanted to feel appreciated. But dramatic much?

Sure, the crowd was big, but we couldn’t help but wonder how many were his real friends?

Because let’s be honest. It is the quality, not the quantity of friends that count, right?
