Heartbroken Taiwanese singer Shin Lung, whose celeb dancer wife Serena Liu tragically passed away in March, took to Facebook in the wee hours of last night (May 4) to pen his thoughts.
Shin Lung's emotional Facebook post
The 48-year-old wrote:
“It’s late at night. Can't sleep. My brain is at war. Listening to songs. Thinking of my wife. My heart is aching.”
The last time Shin Lung wrote a post on Facebook was to announce the details of Serena’s memorial service. Then Shin Lung had referred to Serena's cremation as his late wife's way of “ascending heaven and becoming immortal”.

According to reports, Shin Lung was not present at the cremation as he believes the Chinese custom that husband and wife cannot send each other off. He has yet to tell their daughter Ni Ni the truth about her mum’s passing too.
Whenever Ni Ni asks for Serena, Shin Lung reportedly tells her: “Mama has gone to a very far away place for a holiday and it would take a few years before she comes back. Daddy will protect you with his life."
Shin Lung is said to be struggling to cope with his grief — he has reportedly lost nine kilos since Serena’s death — but he's also doing his best to fulfill both mummy and daddy duties. Last month, he told reporters that he cried when Ni Ni said to him “Daddy is mummy”.

To cheer Shin Lung up, a netizen replied to the singer's poem with these words of encouragement.
“Deep feelings. Strong meanings. The night is ruthless. Shin Lung, who misses Serena. Don’t go down the rabbit hole. You still have a daughter, so please be strong.”
